Hon Rochelle Squires, Riel

Lord we agree together today on behalf of Hon Rochelle Squires we thank you Lord that you have raised up women to stand in the gap and serve you in this capacity. We ask God for your hand of protection on her life and that you would guide and direct her as she serves. Thank you for her heart and how she has reached out in specific areas based on her roll. We pray for her family and relationships and ask Lord that you would be glorified through her voice in our province. 

Rochelle Squires was elected as the MLA for Riel in 2016. She served as minister of sport, culture and heritage until her new appointment as minister of sustainable development. She remains minister responsible for francophone affairs and status of women. A journalist, Squires holds a bachelor of arts in communications from the University of Winnipeg, a master of fine arts from the University of British Columbia and a journalism diploma from Red River College. She and her husband Daniel have a combined family of five children and two grandchildren.
