Father, we thank you for MLA Ian
Wishart who is serving in the constituency of Portage La Prairie. We
thank you that Ian has a passion for agriculture and environmental
services. We pray as he serves in this area that you would grant him
wisdom and knowledge so that he has the ability to serve his constituents and
help build a better future and economy for our Province. We ask that your
hand of protection would be upon him as he drives on the highway to the communities
in his riding. We pray for a hedge of protection around him
and his family as they serve in this manner. In Jesus name, Amen
Ian Wishart was first elected as the MLA for Portage la Prairie in 2011 and re-elected in 2016. From 2016 to 2018, Ian served in cabinet as Minister of Education and Training. Currently, Ian is the Legislative Assistant to the Minister of Education and Training with specific responsibilities to lead our government’s comprehensive review of the K-12 education system in Manitoba. Ian lives on the fourth generation family farm just north of Portage la Prairie with his wife Leslie and their two children.
