Hon Rochelle Squires, Riel

Today Lord we ask that your Almighty hand would rest upon the life of Hon Rochelle Squires. We thank you, Lord, for women who are willing to take their place and stand in the gap for our city and province.  We pray today as she currently serves as minister of sustainable development and remains the minister for francophone affairs and the status of women that you would give her a double portion of your wisdom. I pray that your grace would be upon her as she serves and you would guide and direct her every step. We ask Lord that as she deals with a variety of situations she would seek your face for wisdom. We pray you would provide for every area in her life. In Jesus name Amen. 

Rochelle Squires was elected as the MLA for Riel in 2016. She served as minister of sport, culture and heritage until her new appointment as minister of sustainable development. She remains minister responsible for francophone affairs and status of women. A journalist, Squires holds a bachelor of arts in communications from the University of Winnipeg, a master of fine arts from the University of British Columbia and a journalism diploma from Red River College. She and her husband Daniel have a combined family of five children and two grandchildren.
