MLA: Hon. Florfina Marcelino - Logan

Thank-you, Father, for MLA Florfina Marcelino and for placing her in the role of Minister of Multiculturalism and Literacy for such a time as this.  Bless her with wise and creative ideas to complete all tasks set before her.  May glory and honor and peace be hers as she seeks to do good for the many cultures that she serves in Manitoba.  As we anticipate welcoming many immigrants in the near future I pray that Ms. Marcelino would be instrumental in meeting their needs and helping them build relationship in their communities.  In Jesus Name, Amen.

Flor was first elected in 2007, making history as the first woman of colour elected to the Manitoba Legislative Assembly, and was re-elected as the MLA for Logan on October 4, 2011. In 2009 Flor was appointed Minister for Culture, Heritage, and Tourism, and on October 18, 2013 she was appointed by Premier Greg Selinger as Minister for Multiculturalism and Literacy.
