Lord we give thanks for men who will
stand in the gap and lead in ways that are less desirable for many. We ask Father that You would place a hedge of protection around your servant and give
him knowledge where needed. We pray for his health and well being. We ask Lord
that You would give him peace and calmness as decisions need to be made.
We ask this in Jesus name Amen.
Ian Wishart was first elected as the MLA for Portage la Prairie in 2011 and re-elected in 2016. From 2016 to 2018, Ian served in cabinet as Minister of Education and Training. Currently, Ian is the Legislative Assistant to the Minister of Education and Training with specific responsibilities to lead our government’s comprehensive review of the K-12 education system in Manitoba. Ian lives on the fourth generation family farm just north of Portage la Prairie with his wife Leslie and their two children.
