Father, for MLA Deanne Crothers. As she
serves as the Minister of Healthy Living I pray that she would experience the
healing power of laughter and the restorative strength of joy. Your word affirms that a cheerful heart is
good medicine and so I ask for that blessing in her life. May she find rest in You and energy to
perform all the duties her position requires.
Bless her personal life as well, may she experience quality time with
the people she loves and favor with all those who surround her. In Jesus Name, Amen.
Deanne brings to the legislature a passion for making St. James an even better, more affordable place for families. As the new MLA for St. James, she looks forward to working as part of Greg Selinger’s team to keep providing the community with hard working and effective representation.Deanne is a teacher who appreciates the importance of education to today’s families and communities. She specializes in literacy and English as an additional language. For the past five years, she has worked with adults who have lost their jobs to improve their literacy skills before re-entering the job market. Prior to this, she worked as an adult literacy instructor to help them obtain their GED diplomas while improving their reading, writing and math skills.
Deanne’s volunteer activities include helping women new to Canada by teaching English and helping them adjust to life in Manitoba.
