"My priority is to keep our communities strong – by providing renewed infrastructure so that local economies can grow and people have the resources they need to build a better life."
Following in the footsteps of his father, Mike, who sought the position in 1969, and in those of his great-grandfather Henry Mabb, who was elected as the first MLA for Fisher constituency in 1920, Tom is proud to represent the Interlake as MLA.
Tom chairs the Legislative Review Committee of the NDP Caucus, the Standing Committee of Agriculture of the Legislative Assembly, and has also been the Legislative Assistant to the Minister of Agriculture, Food and Rural Initiatives. On November 3, 2009 he was appointed the Legislative Assistant to the Minister of Conservation as well as to the Minister of Infrastructure and Transportation.
