Lord. Jesus, Thank You
for Hon Rochelle Squires dedication and may You fill
her with Your presence and wisdom in all areas of her life. Lord, help her
to discern priorities and use her time wisely. You have placed her in a
position where she can see the needs of the all those around her, help her to
be a willing vessel, and to act wisely if and when she encounters
injustices. I pray that You would counsel her with Your eye upon her.
Bless her Jesus and fill her with YOUR joy and love. Amen
Rochelle Squires was elected as the MLA for Riel in 2016. She served as minister of sport, culture and heritage until her new appointment as minister of sustainable development. She remains minister responsible for francophone affairs and status of women. A journalist, Squires holds a bachelor of arts in communications from the University of Winnipeg, a master of fine arts from the University of British Columbia and a journalism diploma from Red River College. She and her husband Daniel have a combined family of five children and two grandchildren.
