Hon Heather Stefanson, Tuxedo


God we come before You today and ask that You would bless Hon Heather Stefanson today. We ask Lord that Your hand of blessing would be upon her. We ask God that she would see her position through Your eyes and You would grant her a deep understanding of the task at hand. We pray for her health and ask that You place a hedge of protection around her life and her family. We ask this in Jesus' name. Amen

Heather Stefanson was elected as the MLA for Tuxedo in 2000 and re-elected in 2003, 2007, 2011 and 2016. In 2016, Stefanson was appointed Minister of Justice and Attorney General, Keeper of the Great Seal of the Province of Manitoba, and Deputy Premier. She is now Minister of Families and retains her role of Deputy Premier. An investment advisor, Stefanson earned her bachelor of arts from the University of Western Ontario before completing her financial education at the Canadian Securities Institute. She also worked as an advisor in the offices of the Prime Minister, the Federal Minister of Agriculture and the Provincial Minister of Education. She and her husband Jason have two children.

Hon Rochelle Squires, Riel


Lord. Jesus, Thank You for Hon Rochelle Squires dedication and may You fill her with Your presence and wisdom in all areas of her life. Lord, help her to discern priorities and use her time wisely.  You have placed her in a position where she can see the needs of the all those around her, help her to be a willing vessel, and to act wisely if and when she encounters injustices.  I pray that You would counsel her with Your eye upon her. Bless her Jesus and fill her with YOUR joy and love. Amen
Rochelle Squires was elected as the MLA for Riel in 2016. She served as minister of sport, culture and heritage until her new appointment as minister of sustainable development. She remains minister responsible for francophone affairs and status of women. A journalist, Squires holds a bachelor of arts in communications from the University of Winnipeg, a master of fine arts from the University of British Columbia and a journalism diploma from Red River College. She and her husband Daniel have a combined family of five children and two grandchildren.

MLA Dennis Smook, La Verendrye


Lord I want to lift up to you MLA Dennis Smook.  I thank-you Lord for his desire to serve.  I pray Lord that you would bless him with wisdom.  I pray Lord that You would use him to further advance Your Kingdom.  I pray Lord that you be with his family as well and help him to lead his family amidst serving the constituency of La Verendrye.
Dennis Smook was first elected as the MLA for La Verendrye in 2011 and was re-elected in 2016. Dennis and his wife Gwen have owned and operated a local business for close to forty years.  Dennis and Gwen make their home in Vita, Manitoba, where they have raised their four sons: Christopher, Justin, Tyson, and Brandyn.
