MLA Dougald Lamont, St. Boniface

Lord God I pray that you would touch MLA Dougald Lamont. I pray that he would have a strong sense of conviction in making decisions while in office. Also I pray Lord God that he would know Your Truth and that he would seek to Honour You...that he would run with honesty and integrity and with wisdom...Amen.

Dougald Lamont was elected MLA for Saint-Boniface in July 2018.
Born at St. Boniface Hospital in 1969, the third of four children, Dougald was raised in Winnipeg. He has two degrees in English Literature (B.A. and M.A) from the University of Manitoba and is bilingual, having learned to speak English and French at a young age.
Working as a writer, editor and policy analyst for over 25 years in both the private and public sector, Dougald’s experience includes journalism & advertising, funding initiatives for start-ups, not-for-profits & charities, as well as advising elected officials and public servants on matters of the day.
He has taught Canadian Literature at the University of Manitoba, and most recently was a lecturer in government-business relations at the University of Winnipeg.
Some of his priorities as an MLA include making St. Boniface a "creative hub", boosting local health care and promoting French language education.
