Hon Jon Gerrard, River Heights

Father, we agree together today in prayer and uplift the name of Hon Jon Gerrard. We pray for his role in the city of Winnipeg and the community of River Heights as MLA. We thank you, Lord, that you have placed leaders in place in this country to plan, protect, and govern. We pray that your hand of mercy & grace be upon this man, we pray that you would direct his steps and give divine guidance to every thought, idea, and decision. We pray for protection and that your peace would be upon him and his family. In Jesus Name. Amen

Dr Jon Gerrard is the elected Member of the Legislative Assembly of Manitoba for the riding of River Heights. He has held the seat for River Heights since being elected initially in 1999. From 1993 to 1997, Dr Gerrard was secretary of state for the Chrétien government. He was the leader of the Manitoba Liberal Party from 1998 until 2013.

Hon Cameron Friesen, Morden-Winkler

Lord, today we lift up Hon Cameron Friesen to you.  We pray that you will be near him through out this day, give him the discernment necessary for him as he holds the position of the Minister of Finance. We thank you for his heart and his willingness to serve the people of Manitoba.  Keep him strong and healthy Lord and please bless he and his family.

Cameron Friesen was first elected as the MLA for Morden-Winkler in 2011 and re-elected on April 19, 2016. Following his re-election, he was appointed to serve as Manitoba’s Minister of Finance.  Cameron and Shelley have been married for 23 years and have raised their 3 children in Morden-Winkler.

MLA Nahanni Fontaine, St. Johns

Father we ask You to place a special anointing on Nahanni Fountaine. Today her fight is for minorities. Grant her a voice that helps make necessary changes for those whose voices aren’t honoured. Please heal her heart first Lord! Be very real to her!  

Nahanni Fontaine was elected as the Member of the Legislative Assembly of Manitoba for the riding of St. Johns in the 2016 election. Nahanni is Status Ojibway from the Sagkeeng Anishinaabe First Nation in southern Manitoba. She is the proud mother of Jonah and Niniichaanis.

Hon Steven Fletcher, Assiniboia

Lord, thank you for the many years of service that the Hon. Steven Fletcher has dedicated to our province and our country. Please give him wisdom in his current office in Assiniboia. We ask that he would be moved by Your Spirit to take a stand on matters that break Your heart. Help him to be discerning in his everyday decisions and may he seek to draw close to You.
