Merry Christmas from Leading Influence

Dear Lord, we pray that this Christmas, once again our eyes would be turned to the babe born in a manger. The miracle of your birth is that you God, took on human form and came and lived among us. As we look at the events of that first Christmas, may we also be reminded that your short journey on earth culminated in your death, the most significant event in history, so that people everywhere could have the opportunity to be forgiven and receive eternal life. May our prayer be, that the Savior of the world would find a place of residence in all our hearts.

We prayer for all our MLA’s that during this Christmas season, they would experience your presence and peace and be refreshed and renewed as they spend time with family and friends. In Jesus Name, Amen.

MLA Wayne Ewasko, Lac du Bonnet

Jesus Christ our Lord, we bring before you MLA Wayne Ewasko. Grant him your heavenly wisdom, help him lead and govern with integrity and always give him the strength to do what is right for the benefit of everyone. Bless his family members and may love and faithfulness never leave him. I pray and ask for your supernatural peace to reign in his heart this Christmas. In your glorious name, we pray. 

Wayne Ewasko was first elected as the MLA for Lac du Bonnet in 2011 and re-elected on April 19, 2016. In addition to his role as an MLA, he serves as the Chair of the Manitoba PC Caucus.  Wayne grew up on a farm in the Brokenhead area southwest of Beausejour. He is married to his high school sweetheart, Tracey and together they have two wonderful sons, Brayden and Jarvis. He is an active member of the community as a volunteer with the Beausejour Knights of Columbus and the Beausejour Lions Club.

Hon Ralph Eichler, Lakeside

I pray for Hon Ralph Eichler as he serves in the riding of Lakeside.  I pray Lord that you would give him energy and wisdom as he represents this riding.  I pray Lord that he would represent his riding with integrity.  I pray that he would truly care for the people in this riding and represent them accordingly.  Bless him during this Christmas season. Amen 

Ralph Eichler was first elected as the MLA for Lakeside in 2003. He was re-elected in 2007, 2011, and 2016. On May 3, 2016, he was sworn in as Manitoba’s Minister of Agriculture. Ralph is the former owner and operator of Prairie Farm and Ranch Supply, and currently owns Ray’s Auction Service.Ralph and his wife Gail have two sons, a daughter and son-in-law, and three grandchildren.

Hon Myrna Driedger, Charleswood

Father, we come before Your throne asking for Your grace and mercy to fall upon Honourable Myrna Driedger. Grant her Your wisdom, Your discernment and Your heart of compassion. Place Godly people in her path who will mentor her; who will grow her towards a faith journey in You!! We pray that your hand of mercy would give her great and divine direction. Give her health, strength, wisdom, and grace as she deals with a variety of scenarios from day to day.  In Jesus name. Amen

Myrna was elected Speaker of the Legislative Assembly of Manitoba on May 16, 2016. She  has held a number of diverse critic roles in the past including that of Interim Leader of the PC Party of Manitoba, Deputy Leader, Critic for Health, Status of Women,  Finance, Civil Service & Crown Corporations Council, Child & Family Services, and Education.  During her first year  she was the Legislative Assistant to the Minister of Health. She has been a member of the Public Accounts Committee and  the Standing Committees of WCB & Children’s Advocate.   Myrna and her husband, Hal live in Charleswood.  She enjoys the company of friends, gardening, reading, photography, horseback riding, and the occasional round of golf.
