MLA Mohinder Saran, The Maples

Lord we lift up Mohinder Saran to you today.  We pray that you will be with him as he is lead to make wise decisions for the people of the province of Manitoba and directly for the people of his constituency of the Maples.  Guide him and sustain him Lord, help him through any areas of difficulty he endures because of his position in Canadian politics. Help him to be wise and resourceful in his duties.  Thank you Lord for his wife and family, bless them and keep them healthy. Amen

Mohinder was elected to represent the people of The Maples in 2007. He is the former Chief Power Engineer for Manitoba Infrastructure and Transportation at Red River College. Mohinder is also the former president of the Sikh Society of Manitoba, former director and vice-president of the India Association, and he helped establish the first Gurdwara in the province. In 2009, Mohinder became a legislative assistant responsible for the Premier’s Office. He is also the Deputy Chairperson of the Committees of the Whole House.  He has lived in the Maples for the past thirty years with his wife Kuldip – they have three children.

MLA Blair Yakimoski, Transcona

Heavenly Father we pray on behalf of MLA, Blair Yakimoski.  Guide his path as he serves this province with insight and understanding of the issues at stake.  May he be an advocate for truth and visionary planning that will move the province forward to prosperity, strength and health for all of its residence.  In the name of Jesus, Amen.

Blair Yakimoski was elected to his first term as the MLA for Transcona on April 19, 2016. In addition to his duties as MLA, he serves as the Deputy Whip for the Manitoba PC Caucus. Blair and his wife Amy have been married 25 years and have raised 3 children, all of whom are pursuing their dreams at university. 

MLA Jon Reyes, St. Norbert

Father, Today we come before you and ask that your hand of guidance be upon MLA Jon Reyes. We ask Lord that you would lead and guide as he makes daily decisions that will impact our Community, City and Province. We thank you that he is a man who holds strong family values and lives a life of integrity.  We pray for guidance & protection for his wife and children and that you would enlarge their territory. We pray that his voice will not be just held in St. Norbert but across our nation. We ask that you grant him wisdom, clarity, strength, and passion for our province as he leads in this capacity. Thank you, Lord, for your Grace. Amen

Jon Reyes was elected to his first term as MLA for St. Norbert on April 19, 2016 and was subsequently appointed as Manitoba’s Special Envoy for Military Affairs.  Jon and his wife Cynthia have owned and operated a successful small business in South Winnipeg for the past 13 years.  Jon was born and raised in Winnipeg and is happily married to his wife Cynthia. They have two children, Reyna and Miguel.

Hon Ian Wishart, Portage la Prairie

Lord, we thank You for Ian Wishart!  We ask that You would continue to give him wisdom as he serves as the Minister of Education and Training.  We thank You for his wife Leslie and their two children and ask that You would draw them even closer together and close to You.  Bless him and keep him in good health as he continues to serve the province of Manitoba well. 

Ian Wishart was first elected as the MLA for Portage la Prairie in 2011. He was re-elected on April 19, 2016 and subsequently appointed to cabinet as Minister of Education and Training. Ian lives on the fourth generation family farm just north of Portage la Prairie with his wife Leslie and their two children.
